At Interacoustics, we know that hearing screening is an essential service in ensuring early diagnoses and improved management of hearing loss, so we’ve developed a simple solution to help you see more patients with ease. Now available, Luna is a fast and reliable air conduction audiometer built right into a headset.
Everything you want from a screening device
The lightweight Luna solution is well suited for busy audiologists on the move between home visits and clinics, weighing only 500 grams and easily carried in the included bag with a shoulder strap. Automated testing, plug-and-play functionality, randomised frequency order and no bulky equipment means you can test at scale and trust the results.
Once you get the Luna USB headset — delivered with three hearing tests in a user-friendly software suite — connect the headset and patient response to a Windows® tablet or laptop and you’re ready to go.
Lise Ebdrup, Market Development Manager at Interacoustics explains:
“Luna is a real ‘plug-and-play’ audiometer. The calibration is stored in the headset, so as soon as you install the software and connect the headset to your laptop or Windows® tablet, you are ready to start testing your patient. And if you change your laptop or Windows® tablet, you can just plug your headset into another device – you don't need to calibrate your audiometer again.”
Fast, reliable testing
Luna is an air conduction audiometer, with TGA registration, delivered with manual, automatic and random automatic tests, offering pure, warble and pulse tones. It presents the frequencies in a randomised order and ear, which can help to produce more reliable patient responses. Save time by excluding unneeded frequencies from your test protocol, while a random automatic test with the default seven frequencies only takes one minute to complete. Before saving the test results, you can re-test particular frequencies manually.
Software that makes life easier
The user-friendly Luna software includes a range of features designed to help you do your job without hassle. Automatically save test results integrated into an electronic health records system, design your own PDF report layout with your clinic’s logo and generate random patient IDs. Multiple operators can save their own non-default settings, so time spent preparing the software before testing is limited, and you can easily list only your own patients or change the program language.
You can also choose between several overlays for data comparison and counselling purposes:
- Degree of hearing loss
- Toggle left/right audiogram
- Speech banana
- Single or dual audiogram
- Previous session overlay
